Answer to nature’s call landed a 32-year-old Bulawayo man in hospital after a woman stabbed him in the stomach and left his intestines protruding.

Thuthukani Moyo from Entumbane suburb is battling for his life in hospital after Julia Ndlovu stabbed him in the stomach for reportedly urinating on her flower bed.

Bulawayo acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the incident to a local tabloid saying;

“I can confirm that we arrested a lady for attempted murder after she stabbed a man three times for allegedly urinating on her flower bed,” she said.

Narrating what happened, Moyo revealed that on that fateful day, while he was in Entumbane suburb heading home he felt hard-pressed and had to answer nature’s call on  Ndlovu’s flowers.

“I felt hard-pressed and had to urinate on Julia’s flowers. Sadly she saw me and accused me of urinating on her flowers. I apologized,” he said.

Assuming that Ndlovu had accepted his apology, Moyo continued with his journey.

However, Ndlovu followed and caught up with him.

She reportedly started shouting obscenities at him and in the midst of that she fumbled into the pocket of her jacket and took out an Okapi knife.

Without any hesitation, she stabbed him on the left side of the chest, once on the right side of the shoulder and once on the stomach area causing him to tumble to the ground and fall unconscious.

Soon after the grisly act, blood-stained Ndlovu reportedly took to her heels and left Moyo lying unconscious on the ground.

After about one hour an unknown man stumbled on him and made a report at Entumbane Police Station.

Police from Entumbane Police Station dashed to the scene and swiftly summoned an ambulance which speedily came and ferried Moyo to Mpilo Central Hospital.

Julia was arrested and appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Shepherd Munjanja facing a charge of attempted murder.

She was remanded out of custody to 31 May 2021.
