Breakthrough As Missing Chinhoyi Baby Is Found Four Months Later
A six-month-old Chinhoyi baby, who made headlines after she went missing four months ago has been found in Mt Darwin.
The baby was reported missing when she was only two months old.
It was reported that the baby’s mother, Vicky Nyanhete had escorted a visitor from the family home when she (the baby) was kidnapped.
When Nyanhete returned home, her two other children reportedly told her that an unidentified man had entered the house and took the baby.
After Nyanhete reported the matter to the police, she was arrested together with her friend and they were detained for three nights.
ZBC News reports that police confirmed that the baby had been found and DNA tests would be conducted to ascertain if she was indeed the one kidnapped in Chinhoyi.
In other news, iHarare had reported that in a suspected case of child abuse, a devious woman killed two children and drove around for months with the dead bodies stuffed inside the trunk of her car.
Nicole Johnson, 33, from the east coast city of Baltimore was arrested charged with murder and child abuse that resulted in the death of a seven-year-old girl and five-year-old boy whose bodies had been stuffed in the trunk of her car.
iHarare had also reported that the 16-year-old twin sisters who made headlines after they were reportedly impregnated by the same boy in Cameroon gave birth to two baby boys.
On Friday 23 July, Ayisha Toginia, confirmed the latest development, The Zambian Observer reports.
Togina also said one room has been secured for the twin sisters and their babies.
She thanked those who managed to help for their support and efforts.
