Councillor Hospitalised After Getting Bashed Over A Woman
A councillor in Ward 20, Marondera Rural District Council has been hospitalised following a thorough beating by the husband of a woman he was reportedly bedding, iHarare has learnt.
Joshua Neshamba is now admitted at Marondera provincial hospital where he is recuperating after he was attacked by Tinashe Mungwere, New Zimbabwe reports.
It is alleged that Mungwere is married to Evernice Bokisi and the wife is involved in an illicit love affair with Neshamba.
Circumstances are that early this month, Mungwere was going through text messages on his wife’s mobile phone when he bumped into communication between Bokisi and Neshamba.
Mungwere reportedly texted Neshamba using Bokisi’s phone and suggested they meet at a secluded place on the same day.
Neshamba agreed since he did not suspect anything and proceeded to the agreed rendezvous.
He was shocked to find Mungwere waiting for him.
After he was asked about the relationship with Bokisi, the councillor failed to explain anything before an enraged Mungwere bashed him with fists and booted feet leaving him for dead.
Mungwere reported Neshamba to Chief Svosve and was supposed to appear before the traditional leader’s court last week.
However, he failed to as he is still hospitalised.
In other news, iHarare reported that there was massive drama in Beatrice after two men showed up at the lobola ceremony intending to marry the same woman. The situation quickly degenerated into violence as the two parties engaged in a fistfight to settle the matter.
This was confirmed by a local pastor, who witnessed the strange incident. Pastor Marvin Rwatirinda said that Grace Musonza had approached him for prayers because she wanted to get married.
